Galvanized steel coil is a welded steel plate with a hot-dip or electroplated zinc layer on the surface. It is generally widely used in construction, home appliances, vehicles and ships, container manufacturing, mechanical and electrical industries, etc.
Galvanized steel coil is also known as galvanized iron or GI steel coil.
Galvanized steel coil is produced by passing cold rolled steel sheet through a molten zinc bath. The zinc coating provides corrosion resistance by acting as a protective barrier between the steel and the environment.
Galvanized steel Coil Plate are divided into ordinary electrolytic plates and fingerprint-resistant electrolytic plates.
The fingerprint-resistant board is based on the ordinary electrolytic board and adds a fingerprint-resistant treatment, which can resist sweat.
It is generally used on parts that do not undergo any treatment. The grade is SECC-N. Ordinary electrolytic plates are divided into phosphating plates and passivation plates.
Phosphating is more commonly used, and the brand name is SECC-P, commonly known as p material. Passivation plates are available with or without oil.
Galvanized steel coil is produced according to ASTM A653 – The American Standard For Cold Rolled Materials.

Hot-dip galvanized steel sheet (SGCC) has one advantage over electro-galvanized steel sheet (SECC). SECC bends and sections are very easy to rust, while SGCC has much better rust resistance under the same conditions.
High-quality chassis usually use SECC or SGCC galvanized steel plates. The chassis steel plates made of this material are bright in color and have a metallic luster. The advantage of this steel plate is that it has good corrosion resistance.
Electro-galvanized steel plate (SECC): uniform gray, mainly imported, resistant to fingerprints, has excellent corrosion resistance, and maintains the processability of cold-rolled plates.
Usage: Home appliances, computer case casings and some door panels and panels.
Hot-dip galvanized steel plate (SGCC): dip-plated, bright white, small zinc flowers (hard to see), large zinc flowers can clearly see the hexagonal flowers.
Galvalume-coated steel sheet (SGLD): It is a multi-phase alloy material containing rich aluminum and rich zinc.
Because of the characteristics of aluminum and zinc, it has better performance than hot-dip galvanized steel sheet (SGCC).
Main features: Corrosion resistance, its ability is much higher than SGCC;
Heat resistance; Heat conduction and heat reflectivity; Formability; Weldability.
Usage: Used in places that require good reflectivity, such as reflective plates inside ovens. Reflector plate for electric cooker.
Hot-dip galvanized steel sheet (SGCC) is for general use, galvanized steel sheet (SGLD) is for deep drawing, and SGCE is for ultra-deep drawing.
