AD sunset reviews on galvanized steel
2024-09-04
A galvanized steel sheet is a cold rolled base sheet that has been covered with a zinc coating. The sheet is then hot dipped galvanised. Hot Dipped Galvanised Carbon Steel Sheets are used for applications requiring strength, as well as workability for moderate bending and forming.
On September 2, 2024, the Department for Internal Market Defence of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) announced the launch of the first anti-dumping (AD) sunset review on galvanized rolled steel originating in China and Ukraine, following the request from the Eurasian Economic Union enterprises.
The products involved are classified under HS codes 7210490001, 7210490009, 7210610000, 7212300000, 7212506100, and 7225920000.
The EEC decided to impose AD duties on China at 12.69-17% and Ukraine at 23.9% in December 2019 and reached price commitments with five Chinese companies without imposing AD duties on them. The measures took effect from January 5, 2020, valid until January 4, 2025.
Galvanized steel plate or Galvanised steel sheet is a type of steel plate that has been coated with a layer of zinc to prevent rusting and corrosion. The process of galvanization involves dipping the steel plate into a bath of molten zinc, which forms a protective coating on the surface of the steel. The zinc coating also provides a barrier against moisture and other environmental factors that can cause the steel to deteriorate over time. Galvanized steel plates are commonly used in a variety of applications, including construction, automotive manufacturing, and industrial equipment. They are known for their durability, strength, and resistance to corrosion, making them a popular choice for outdoor and harsh environment applications

Electro-galvanized steel sheet is a type of steel sheet that has been coated with a thin layer of zinc through an electroplating process. This process involves immersing the steel sheet in a solution of zinc sulfate and passing an electric current through it, which causes the zinc to bond to the surface of the steel. The resulting coating provides protection against corrosion and enhances the aesthetic appeal of the steel sheet. Electro-galvanized steel sheet is commonly used in the automotive, construction, and appliance industries.
Hot dipped galvanized steel coil is a type of steel coil that has been coated with a layer of zinc through a process called hot-dip galvanizing. This process involves dipping the steel coil into a bath of molten zinc, which forms a protective layer over the steel. The zinc coating provides excellent corrosion resistance and durability, making hot dipped galvanized steel coil a popular choice for a wide range of industrial and construction applications. The steel coil can be further processed into various products such as roofing sheets, pipes, and structural components.
