Prepainted galvanized steel coil sheet is made of electro-galvanized and hot-dip galvanized steel as substrates. After pretreatment (degreasing and chemical treatment), one or more layers of coatings are continuously applied to the surface of the base metal by coil coating and then baked. It includes base metal (cold rolled steel), zinc coating, chemical conversion coating, primer coating, and top coating.
Prepainted galvanized steel coils are commonly used in the construction industry for applications such as roofing, siding, and wall cladding. The paint coating can be customized to match specific color requirements and can also be applied with various finishes, such as matte, glossy, or textured. Prepainted galvanized steel coil (PPGI coil) is one of our main products.
Top Metal / RAYIWELL MFG is a leading prepainted galvanized steel coil manufacturer in China. Our factory has three color coating lines, with an annual output of 320,000 tons. Except for PPGI coil, we also offer PPGL steel, color-coated aluminum coil, color-coated stainless steel in coil, sheet, plate, and strip. Prepainted galvanized steel coil is a type of steel coil that has been coated with a layer of paint.
The paint is typically applied to both sides of the coil using a continuous coil coating process. This coating helps to protect the steel from corrosion and provides an aesthetic finish. The use of prepainted galvanized steel coils can help reduce maintenance costs over time, as the protective coating helps to prevent rust and other forms of corrosion.
Prepainted galvanized steel coils offer a versatile and durable solution for various construction and manufacturing applications.

Top Paint: The top paint can form a dense film to reduce water permeability and oxygen permeability. The topcoat is able to block sunlight and prevent ultraviolet rays from damaging the coating;
Primer Paint: The primer often uses PE paint, which has better adhesion. So the top paint is not easy to desorb after water penetration to improve its corrosion resistance.
Zinc Coating: The zinc coating has a great influence on the service life of PPGI steel. The thicker the zinc coating, the better the corrosion resistance.
Substrate: Generally, it is a cold-rolled sheet with different strengths, which determines the mechanical properties of the color-coated sheet.
Back Paint: It aims to prevent the steel from corroding from the inside. If bonding is required on the back side, a single-layer back paint is recommended.
The coatings used include polyester (PE), silicon-modified polyester (SMP), high-durability polyester (HDP), polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), etc. They are widely used in construction, transportation, home appliances, solar energy, and furniture. and other industries. Prepainted steel for home appliances is mainly used as the side panels of refrigerators, DVD casings, air conditioners, freezers, and washing machine casings. Color-coated steel is commonly used in the construction industry, especially roofing panels, wall cladding, fence panels, window frames, ceiling keel frames, rolling doors or ceilings, etc. PPGI sheets are mainly used as body shells, chassis, door panels, trunk lids, fuel tanks, fenders, etc. Prepainted steel sheets are widely used in the home appliance industry, such as the door and side panels of the refrigerator or the body of some freezers, DVD casings, washing machine casings, etc. Pre-painted galvanized sheets are used as the surface materials of composite panels. Because of their dust-proof, anti-static, and anti-bacterial effects, they are widely used in medicine, electronics, pharmaceuticals, food, biology, aerospace, instrument manufacturing, scientific research, etc.
