According to a notice from Dubai Customs, the UAE has extended the increased import duty on rebar and wire rod until October 12, 2025.

In order to protect the domestic steel industry, this import duty was first raised from 5% to 10% in January 2019 and applied to all UAE’s ports, and it was then extended until November 7, 2023.
